Tokoloshi Faces
When I decided to create a T-shirt design collection I naturally turned to the land of my birth, my motherland - Africa. I drew my inspiration from a mythical figure in African mythology called the Tokoloshi which is the equivalent in English of the gnome.
The Tokoloshi is used for both good and bad but in most cases, it is for the good of its people. Thus the Tokoloshi design and the fact that it easily rolls of the tongue makes it a good name for the collection. "Tokoloshi Designs" also gave me a lot of flexibility because of it mythical connotations.
